Scholarships for Children

Do you have a child with a disability who is looking for some extra fun?

The Arc Livingston offers scholarships (up to $400 per child) to provide children with disabilities the opportunity to participate in recreational camp and activities.

How to Apply

Following are the eligibility requirements for a scholarship. Applicants MUST:

  • Be a child with a disability between the ages of 5 and 18 years old. 
  • Be a resident of Livingston County. 
  • Have a current and active Individualized Education Plan (IEP) and submit to The Arc Livingston.  
  • Meet income requirements listed in the application form.
  • Submit a copy of your 2025 or 2026 Federal Tax Form. 
  • Submit receipts if requesting reimbursement. 

Camp or recreation activities must take place in 2026-2027. NOTE: Therapeutic camps/activities are not eligible.

Deadline for the 2026-27 applications is May 28, 2027.

Scholarships for Adults

Applications are being accepted for 2026-27! 

Scholarships are being offered to adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities to have some extra fun!

The scholarships (up to $400 per adult) will provide adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities the opportunity to participate in recreational activities.

How to Apply

Following are the eligibility requirements for the adult scholarships. Applicants MUST:

  • Be an adult with an intellectual or developmental disability aged 18+. 
  • Be a resident of Livingston County. 
  • Be a recipient of SSI and/or SSDI and/or Medicaid and/or CMH services and/or meet the income requirements below. 
  • Experience significant impact in TWO or more of the following life domains: self-care, communication, social skills, academic skills, mobility, health and safety, and/or community participation. These domains include:
    • Self-care: Ability to perform daily personal care tasks independently.
    • Communication: Skills in expressing thoughts and understanding others.
    • Social skills: Ability to interact appropriately with peers and adults.
    • Academic skills: Proficiency in learning and applying educational concepts.
    • Mobility: Capability to move safely and effectively in various environments.
    • Health/safety: Understanding personal health needs and safety practices.
    • Community participation: Engagement in community activities and social integration.
  • Submit proof or sign release of information to obtain proof of benefits, services, or income if requested. 
  • Submit receipts if requesting reimbursement. 
  • Camp or recreation activities must take place in 2026-2027. NOTE: Therapeutic camps/activities are not eligible.
